Patrice Monahan - Jazz Piano and Vocals

Charlotte Dumont - Bass

Playing original compositions, standard repertoire and works in progress. Percussive with a temptation to play free, balancing improvisation within harmonic or rhythmic structure. Patrice’s vocal style offers pure sound and honest interpretations.

As they work together they continue to explore their musical freedom as an ensemble. Sometimes straight ahead sometimes taking a curve.




Bios:

Patrice Monahan Piano and Vocals
Certificate in Jazz Studies NEC Boston 2010 is nationally known for her artistic versatility. Genuine passionate soulful energy drives her need for artistic adventure. Swinging ease, a touch of the blues and a percussive edge shapes the sound of this trio. She is also front woman for her concert band “Shufflin’ Time” and co artistic director/musician of “RapaTapTap and All That” World Music and Flamenco.



Miki Matsuki - Drums[Matsuyama, Japan]
Graduate Berklee College of Music. Also MM/GPD in Modern American Music Performance Longy School of Music. Ms. Matsuki has performed with many great musicians including Wynton Marsalis, Joanne Brackeen, George Garzone, Darren Barrett, Dave Bryant, and Stan Strickland.
She has performed and recorded in various musical settings soundtrack, radio, television and a tour of Korea.

Charlotte Dumont - Bass
Ms. Dumont has studied with Rick McLaughlin NEC/SCE
Boston and is pursuing her jazz studies at NEC. She joined Patrice Monahan Jazz Group in 2007 after collaborations on several projects. Her solid grooves and arranging concepts are an integral part of the trios sound.
