Cellist Erik Friedlander is back at the Lilypad performing the music from Vol. 8 of John Zorn's Book of Angels series: an intimate and breathtaking recital by one of the world’s most accomplished cellists. A vital member of the Masada family from the very beginning, Erik is stepping out in this special solo project which shows off his remarkable technique. Volac is Friedlander and Zorn at their best: rich, romantic, gripping music that will both challenge and soothe the savage beast.

Brass and scatter is a solo "contour piece" for trombone, circuitbent devices, tape loops, smartphones, monome and four boomboxes.
Using what Roseman describes a "principles of gently managed chaos," this is a soundtrack for a kinetic art installation at a prewar fur vault in West Newton, MA created by MAGSTAR (Marguerite White.)
Josh Roseman is an improvisor, producer and composer living in Williamsburg, NY.
Roseman's a serial project organizer, founder of the 58N6 media space (www.58N6.com,) and has been heard in collaboration with the likes of Dave Holland, Peter Apfelbaum, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Dave Douglas, Don Byron and Steve Coleman.
