From Southwestern Virginia, Bennett relocated to Cambridge, MA after spending 8 years teaching basketry to teenagers on top of a mountain while attending design school and completing a Master of Architecture at Virginia Tech in 2007. He has presented his work in numerous exhibitions, including materials from his graduate thesis development in the Piedmont Arts Gallery in Martinsville, Virginia.
