Double Bases Loaded!

John Lockwood and Garth Stevenson, double bass (special guest)
Nat Mugavero, drums
David Maxwell, piano, five gongs on a stand, bells, Moroccan bamboo
flute and raita (double reed horn), Tunisian single and double mijwez
(like "snake charmer" flutes).

Return trip for this trio with the addition of Garth Stevenson (well
known avant garde, experimental, ambient bassist ). Last month the
interplay among these musicians bordered on the telepathical at
moments (maybe the pathological) resulting in a richly layered
tapestry ---spare to dense and all stops in between. Nat Mugavero
(metaphysical spirit chaser) carved space and sound, John Lockwood
expertly maneuvered with creative depth and Maxwell just let it all
unfurl. LAST PERFORMANCE WAS A SELLOUT. Be sure to catch this one.
