11:00 AM Update
Hello to everyone who has ever been to the Lily Pad, written me about
getting a gig, or anyone who is trying to get a gig and still hasn't
heard back,
Here's the update. Today was a very good day for us. We got a building
permit. This is something we have been waiting for for what seems like
an eternity. Honestly, I don't even know how long it has been. In our
efforts to become a legitimate and safe venue we have had to stay
closed for some time now. We have gotten in touch with all the proper
people to start on the work. The place is a construction site and
unrecognizable to the old concert go-er and performers too.
Right now what needs to be done are just a few more things. here's the order
1- install new fire alarm system
2- re-wire the lights
3- pass inspection for these things
4- put in a new handicap accessible bathroom
5- fireproof the ceiling and walls
6- reverse the door swing
7- pass inspection
8- sweep and mop
So, the end, or new beginning is near. I want to sincerely thank
everyone for supporting us in anyway possible and believing in us when
we weren't sure if we believed in ourselves. I'm really looking
forward to talking to you all again and seeing you on a nightly basis
at the shows. Lastly, while I'm at it, I want to apologize for being
difficult to get in touch with. Also a huge apology to anyone who had
a cancelled show.
when we reopen we will post it on our website lily-pad.net and at that
point I will resume booking. This should happen probably in the next
2-4 weeks. Please hold off on all booking inquiries until then. Also
at that point if you wrote me and still haven't heard back, please
write me again.
Thanks for listening and for all y'alls patience even if it ran out.
We will make it up to you.
Sincerely,
Andrew DiMola

12:00 PM Monday's Update
Today was a good day at the Lily Pad. Got the whole place electrically wired. Brand new faders coming for all of our brand new track lighting. The bathroom (new and handicap accessible) is framed out. We are moving pipes around from the basement to accomadate this. Tomorrow the Alarmex people come in to rig up the building. After that is all said and done we'll be sound/fireproofing the ceiling and we should be back in business. Thanks to everyone again for continued support.
Love,
