8:00 PM Bryan McPherson/ Joie Dead Blonde Girlfriend
Regarding Bryan McPherson
A powerhouse performer and songwriter. Bryan was born and raised in Dorchester, a blue
collar neighborhood in Boston. He was inspired at
a young age by the raw energy and angst of Punk
Rock, as well as the lyrically driven American folk
songs of the early 1960's. His first performances
were street corners, house parties, and subway
stations in Boston's inner city.
"Bryan sings like, we're lucky he doesn't
own a gun."
-Chris Adams, Filter Magazine
Regarding, Joie Dead Blonde Girlfriend
Joie/Dead Blonde Girlfriend is a sight for sore eyes and ears with his acoustic guitar played louder and faster than most punk bands. He commands the stage with true to life rapid-fire lyrics and catchy hooks that leads a listener down a musical path of life's innermost secrets. A scarred soul searching for the higher good in all things. Call it a misplaced childhood or misspent youth. This is Antifolk. This is Acoustic punk. This is nothing you have ever seen before. "It's like trying to understand the cruel and insane beauty of life and everything that goes with it"
""Punk as Fuck"

10:00 PM My Friend Other
My Friend Other is Albany New York's caffeine-fueled guitar and piano
duo, recently re-located to Cambridge and churning out new tunes
weeky. Colin and Alec's original stylings are nothing if not genuine
and may err on the eccentric, whether singing about the virtues of
upstate New York or musing over TV show characters.

8:00 PM EBENEZER/Fortunate Son/Pony
$10
From "hear a pin drop" quiet to "ball of sound" sonic servings, this one man performance is for those seeking something inspired and out of the ordinary. A mix of electric and acoustic, raw indie rock, folk, blues, and a pinch of the great white way.
Self contained with the occasional special guest, depending on the city and the situation, the show features a stage of vintage instruments: bass drum and hi-hat, electric and acoustic guitars, electric autoharp, harmonica, and various old time effects. Ebenezer is on the road from Miami to Vermont this late summer/early fall, in support of the new disc, 10 Dry Acres.
Ebenezer is songwriter/producer/filmmaker Michael Germaine. Best known for his work as the driving force behind the bands Tsunami Poets and The Lucky Charms, Michael was immersed in the underground Boston music scene for nearly a decade. He also founded and managed The Box, a thrift store/performance space/arts production center, that housed noisy revolution records and hand-me-down entertainment which produced lo-fi tv. laying low as a filmmaker/composer for the past seven years, Ebenezer is Michael's return to the footlights.
Also performing on September 6th, will be the Illustrious sounds of the Fortunate Son and Pony.

Featuring:
Greta Gertler (9:00 pm)
Alice Bierhorst (8:00 pm)
Jason and Monica Crigler (7:00 pm)
A night of top-notch pop music from three acts with New York City and
Boston roots.
Headliner Greta Gertler hails from Australia by way of Boston and
performs regularly around NYC with her band the Extroverts. With a
"spacious voice and a welcome weakness of lushly orchestrated 70s-style
pop" (The New Yorker), she is an intriguing and ultra-talented musician
on the rise, possessing a "sweetly lyrical voice, an arrestingly quirky
sensibility, and a chamber-pop band that fits no pigeonholes. Some hear
Rufus Wainwright, others Aimee Mann. All I hear is Greta Gertler - and
I like what I hear." - Wall Street Journal
(http://www.GretaGertler.net)
Alice Bierhorst has performed as a singer-songwriter and percussionist
for nearly 15 years. She most frequently appears in the drummer's seat
leading her quartet through achingly beautiful and disturbing songs
that have earned her comparisons to the Velvet Underground, Brian
Wilson and Joni Mitchell. "Her chameleon vocals change character with
each distinctly crafted song bringing to mind the photography of Cindy
Sherman...beautifully weird pop that reminds us that less is more." -
Performing Songwriter (http://www.alicebierhorst.com)
Jason and Monica Crigler (Goats in Trees), recently relocated to
Boston, have been a big part of the music scene in New York City and
other parts of the Northeast. With stellar melodies and alternately
earthly and ethereal lyrics, these two have entranced audiences in the
U.S. and in Europe. This is their comeback gig after a two year
sabbatical. "...lyrical, atmospheric and ethereal...shades of Cowboy
Junkies, Patty Larkin, Daniel Lanois...Great musical chemistry,
beautiful singing." -a fan (http://www.goatsintrees.com)

ethereal vocals come forth like a brimming cup of coffee. ...Shauna Burns
