Australia's internationally acclaimed Chris Hale Ensemble, Will Martina (cello), Will Poskitt (piano), and acoustic bass guitarist Hale, are one of the most individual instrumental voices on the Australian jazz scene. In 2004 Hale received an Australia Council Fellowship for work with the Ensemble, resulting in a new recording and performances with Boston native and  highly acclaimed trombonist, Josh Roseman.
